…was short but sweet, because I only came for The Naked And Famous set, which was awesome! Videos and photos here—and what I ended up wearing.

This weekend was punctuated with extreme highs and lows, and good thing I also had writing, food, wine, and music to get me through the latter. And the music was live, so it’s even better.
After a long time of not watching concerts, I attended back to back music festivals: first was last week’s Coca-Cola Taste The Feeling Festival (blogged about it here) and yesterday, March 5, the Wanderland Music & Arts Festival at Globe Circuit Events Grounds, presented by Globe Telecom.

As I told you in this blog post, I was so excited because this is the first time I’m experiencing the annual music fest, and it happens to feature one of my favorite bands: The Naked And Famous, whose music served as the soundtrack of my trips—and life as a single woman—in 2013 and 2014. Their music got me through heartbreaks, happy moments, and even crazy work days and nights.
I’m grateful to Globe for giving me the chance to catch them live—and even let me pick my own music fest outfit from their Wanderer Collection on Zalora! I listed my picks from their collection on this blog post last week, and now I can show you what I ended up getting:

What do you think? Did I blend in with the bagets? Hehe!
To make going to and from the venue even more convenient (and affordable), Globe partnered with Grab to provide an exclusive promo code, GLOBEWANDERLAND, that gave us P200 off our fare to and from Globe Circuit Events Grounds that day!
I can’t really say I had a complete Wanderland experience because I arrived when the sun was about to set (around 530PM) and left immediately after The Naked And Famous set. I pretty much spent the time waiting for them lining up to buy food and drinks using my NFC wristband (I exchanged my cash for load upon entering the venue). While in line, I caught the music of San Cisco, Crwn And Jess Connelly, and Commandeur, who played on the Globe Stage.

When it was finally time for The Naked And Famous, I found a good spot in the middle and just enjoyed the live music of the Kiwi electronic group, who are Manila first-timers. I’m no stranger to watching concerts alone, and it’s truly a personal experience to just be by your lonesome while listening to their upbeat songs with hugot lyrics. I’ll just let the clips below speak—sing, rather, hehe—for themselves.
“Girls Like You”
“Punching In A Dream”
“Hearts Like Ours”
“I Kill Giants”
“All Of This”
Too bad I had to miss Death Cab For Cutie and Bon Iver. Maybe next time!

Beside the music acts, festival goers also got to enjoy various booths, which include the Globe Galaxy, an all-in-one interactive hub that features interactive activities and games. Learn more here.
