My love for The Temper Trap started the first time I heard their song “Sweet Disposition” used in a same-day edit wedding video and so many others since. I didn’t even know the title of the song at first, but a little Googling led me to the song, and I’ve played it over a hundred times since. Here’s the video in case you want to give it a listen:

And just when I thought I’ve grown too old for music festivals, Globe Telecom made me change my mind when they announced that they’re bringing The Temper Trap to Manila, along with another international act whose music I enjoy, The Ting Tings, and so many other bands from abroad to perform alongside our own local talents.

Globe, in partnership with Karpos Multimedia, is bringing Wanderland for the fifth time in the Philippines, and headlining this year’s music festival are The Temper Trap (US) and The Ting Tings (UK), among other popular music acts. This time it will be held at the Filinvest City Event Grounds in Alabang on March 4, 2017.

Besides the two international acts, Wanderland fans can also look forward to Yuna (US), Explosions in the Sky (US), Purity Ring (CA), Mickey Sulit (AU), Honne (UK), LANY (US), and Woodlock (AU). The lineup of local performers include Up Dharma Down (PH), Gab and John of Urbandub (PH), indie pop band AngBandang Shirley (PH), instrumental/post-rock band Tom’s Story (PH), Reese Lansangan (PH), Lola Amour (PH), R&B/soul band Jensen and the Flips (PH), Fools and Foes (PH), and BannaHarbera (PH).
