I’ve got to hand it to Starbucks Philippines: There’s always something new to look forward to every season! They’re already on their THIRD batch of summer drinks, can you believe it? And I haven’t even completed all the Starbucks cards from the past yet, and now they just released FOUR more to collect! Waah, wait lang! Haha!

Frappucinos I’ve been eager to try

I always get excited when I learn Starbucks has a new Frappuccino, but I was EXTRA excited when I found out the new Blended Beverages feature Honeycomb Crunch: Orange Honeycomb Crunch Cream Frappucino and Honeycomb Crunch Mocha Frappucino (P165 for Tall, P175 for Grande, and P185 for Venti). As someone who grew up devouring more than her fair share of Violet Crumble, hard caramel candy, and the local version called tira-tira, I just couldn’t wait to try a Starbucks Frappuccino topped with one of my favorite sweets!

Since I’m currently reviewing a weight-loss treatment that discourages the consumption of coffee (or at least limit it to one cup a day, which I drink first thing in the morning), I was only able to try the Orange Honeycomb Crunch Cream version for now.

The orange cream blended beverage combines smooth and creamy Frappuccino with citrusy and fragrant orange sauce made with real orange bits. It’s topped with whipped cream, crunchy honeycomb, and a swirl of tangy orange drizzle. Since they just used regular whipped cream, not flavored, I skipped the whipped (see photo above) so the honeycomb crunch is directly on top of the super refreshing orange cream blended beverage. It’s like drinking orange candy, with a hint of acidity, complete with the crunch from the honeycomb bits. It’s definitely a drink for those with a sweet tooth!

I’m definitely looking forward to trying the Honeycomb Crunch Mocha, which is basically my go-to Mocha Frappuccino topped with golden crunchy honeycomb, whipped cream, and chocolate drizzle. No worries, I have until September 14 to try it!

More Starbucks Cards to collect

Starbucks is on a roll with these cards! They released not one, not two, but FOUR cards, all at once, including the 2nd Edition Philippine Starbucks Card (above), which is inspired by the colors and elements of fiestas, sold exclusively in the Philippines. The release of this card marks Starbucks Card’s second anniversary in the country. All four cards are available for an initial load amount of P300. The benefit I’m most excited about is how members may SOON conveniently reload their Starbucks Card through their Starbucks Account using a Visa or MasterCard Credit or Debit Card. My Starbucks Rewards Registration Promo

From now up to August 15, 2015, customers who will successfully register to a Starbucks Account within the promo period will automatically receive one bonus Beverage Star, Whole Bean Star, and Starbucks VIA Star. Interested participants must upload a photo based on the weekly themes provided by Starbucks Philippines.
