Instead, try Quaker Good Start, which is like breakfast in a bottle, so you have more energy to do more in a day.

Here’s a diet tip I’ve read countless times in weight-loss articles, which I follow and swear by: Never skip breakfast.
If you think skipping the first meal of the day and just having lunch and dinner is helping you, it’s doing the exact opposite: Your digestive system gets a slow start and goes into starvation mode, storing your fat since it doesn’t know when you will feed it next. And when you finally do, it will digest your food much slower than it should because it’s not sure when it will get nourished again. And don’t you feel lazier to workout or even do anything when you’ve skipped a meal, especially breakfast? So, if you want to jumpstart your metabolism early and effectively, get your digestive system moving by having breakfast first thing.
But, maybe you’re not even trying to lose weight; you just don’t have time. With our busy lives and hectic schedules, we often dash out the door without giving a second thought to breakfast. And when we do remember to eat in the morning, we often grab whatever is at hand and most convenient, which is usually a cup of coffee and crackers. We get so caught up in the rush because we want to get ahead with no delay, but without a nourishing meal to fuel us in the morning, what kind of start are we really giving ourselves?

If you’re in such a rush, choose something healthier for breakfast that’s easy to eat—or drink, for that matter. I tried Quaker Good Start Oats Dairy Drink for a week, and I’m happy with it.
It combines the healthy, creamy goodness of milk and oatmeal with the convenience of a grab-and-go drink, giving us people on-the-go nourishing energy to power our day. No more sleepy mornings on our desks or drowsing off during important meetings, as it gives us positive energy to get us going—especially when we need the extra boost to hit the gym or, in my case, yoga class at the end of the day.
And true enough, the drink is filling. I didn’t really feel hungry until lunch when I drank a bottle for breakfast, followed by coffee. It’s a quick pick-me-upper each morning, and I feel healthier and lighter, not bloated so early in the day.

It keeps our taste buds happy too, as it comes in two delicious flavors: The Banana Creme tastes like banana-flavored milk, so sweet, yummy, and refreshing—I like it super cold, so I pop it in the freezer and drink it right before it turns to slush. There’s also Vanilla Malt, which reminds me of the taste of those pinipig iced treats from when we were kids or sweet milk from halo-halo (may pinipig din ‘yun!) for some reason. It’s also definitely best served super cold.

If you’re used to eating oatmeal in the morning already, you’re going to love this even more. Both variants are light, creamy, great tasting drinks, with not just milk and whole grain oats but also 5.8 grams of fibre, which translates to more than 20 percent of the recommended daily fibre needs. The fibre content is more than that of a bowl of oats (3.4g), an apple (3.6g), or two slices of whole grain bread (3.8g).
According to Dr. Imelda Angeles-Agdeppa of the Philippines Food and Nutrition Research Institute, fibre offers many health benefits such as supporting weight management, promoting gut health, regulating blood sugar levels, and reducing risk of heart disease and certain types of cancer. It is not surprising, therefore, that health authorities recommend consuming 20g to 25g of fibre daily for adults 19 years and older.
So if time is the problem, then solve it with Quaker Good Start, even on the most hectic days. Drink it on your way to work, while stuck in horrendous traffic, before or after your workout, or even as a light snack in the afternoon.
Quaker Good Start is available in leading groceries and select convenience stores nationwide at P28 SRP for 280mL.
