Introducing a new weekly feature I'll be doing on the blog: the contents of my bag for the week, including my makeup and daily essentials.

When I created the Cosmopolitan Philippines website, Cosmo.ph, from scratch in 2009, one of the sections I came up with was What’s In My Bag? where we planned to feature the contents of the bags of celebrities and, eventually, regular girls like you and me.
It was a huge hit! It became SOP during photo shoots to raid the bags of cover girls and models, and when we had college interns, I asked them to feature what’s in the bags of their schoolmates. Both celeb and non-celeb versions proved to be popular among readers. It was a lot of fun to do, and I understood why readers loved them: It gave us insight into the daily essentials of both our favorite celebs and our fellow women—the makeup and fragrance they used, the brands of their bags and wallets, and what knick-knacks they need to get by day to day.
Sometimes, we would feature the bags of Cosmo editors, but I never got around to featuring my own bag. Haha! I left the company in 2012 and I haven’t done a bag raid since. Until now. I thought it would be fun to do for my blog for several reasons, the top of which are these two:
1) It will compel me to change my bag (since I have several that I don’t even use) and mix up its contents weekly (especially my makeup).
2) It will give you, my dear readers, insight into the brands and products I use, what products I’m reviewing, what products I am loyal to, what things I use to get by each day (especially when I’m traveling), and what reviewed products were good enough to earn a permanent spot among my daily essentials.

I currently have three makeup kits in circulation: one for when I travel, another for when I’m breaking out (hello, PMS), and the third for when my skin is normal and behaving pretty well. So since I’m now in Iloilo, I have my travel makeup kit with me, among other travel essentials in my Coach tote that my boyfriend gave me for our 7th monthsary.
Click through the gallery below for the contents of my bag this week (and perhaps to understand why I have scoliosis). Click on each thumbnail to see the brand and details of each product (including notes on some) and to enlarge the image. Watch for my second bag feature when I get back to Manila next week!
