As the holiday season approaches, I’m trying to beat the rush by shopping not just gifts and makeup for holiday looks as early as now, but also for my outfits to various parties and get-togethers that are slowly but surely filling up my calendar for the next three months.

It was perfect timing that Mossimo invited me to visit one of their stores (I went to the one in Glorietta 4) to check out their 2015 Fall and Holiday Collection. Mossimo brings a mix of patterns and fascinating details to its clothes this season, so you’re sure to find pieces that suit your style, whether you’re looking to update your basics or wanting to shake things up a bit in your closet. I found a couple of pieces that I liked (two lang, I still need to save and be budget-conscious, hehe). Most of the pieces are within P1,000 to P1,700 at most, and I ended up shelling out P2,680 for two tops.

The colors of the women’s collection range from cold greys and fresh blues to hot, humid hues like yellow and orange, as well as beautiful tonal notes that range from deep purple to smoked teal, with a sprinkling of soft new metallics in smooth champagne and milky mercury. Highlighting a mix of patterns and textures, you can choose from animal-print pieces, juicy colored and printed basic knits, denim looks, and tailored bottoms. There are also slightly risqué, mildly outrageous pieces, like sexy denim vests, bleached and ripped jeans, cotton and silk tops mixed with mesh, glittered tops paired with leather pieces, and dresses and skirts in different prints such as houndstooth, tartan plaid, and gingham.

The men’s collection has a similar feel with dark colored and leather jackets and bottoms, James Dean shirts, denim tops and bottoms, as well as polo shirts and bottoms in fatigue and plaid. There’s also a selection of tribal printed pieces and cotton khakis for casual yet stylish looks for your guy.
