Longines Ambassador of Elegance Eddie Peng

In full disclosure, I had no idea who Eddie Peng was when Swiss watch brand Longines invited me to the opening of its first monobrand boutique in the Philippines recently and asked me if I wanted to interview their new Ambassador of Elegance. I’m not really well-versed in Asian celebrities, you see. I wanted to attend the event because I love watches, and even though I can’t afford Longines right now, their luxurious watches are gorgeous and I believe that if I look at them often enough, one day I’ll have one. Haha!

Anyway, I wasn’t prepared for the arrival of the Taiwanese heartthrob in SM Mega Fashion Hall, so when I saw a crowd of his obviously very excited young female fans assembled outside the Longines boutique that day, I was mildly surprised. Wow, this guy has a huge fan base in Manila! (See photos here.) Apparently Eddie (can I call him Eddie para kunwari close?) announced his visit on his Facebook page.

His entrance into the building was signalled by earsplitting screams from his ecstatic fans. And when I finally caught sight of him, I couldn’t help but remark, “Cute pala siya!” So, whether you’re an Eddie Peng fan (you’re welcome) or just want some chinito eye candy, click through the photos in the gallery below. I’m nice, so I’m sharing. I also included some trivia about Eddie, in case you’re curious about him and why he’s such a hit—you know, besides having such an angelic, handsome face.

Longines’ first monobrand boutique in the Philippines is now open on the second floor of SM Megamall Fashion Hall.

One of the key features of the boutique is Eddie’s floor-to-ceiling poster where he wears an elegant Longines Conquest Classic Chronogram watch from the Conquest Classic collection, a line dedicated to Longines’ watchmaking tradition since 1832 and passion for equestrian sports.

The boutique also offers a comprehensive range of professional support services for owners, and the Longines team hopes the boutique will become a destination for watch collectors and enthusiasts who want to experience discovering, purchasing, and collecting watches in an elegant way in the Philippines.
