I’m one of those women who don’t have a single go-to salon. I don’t visit salons regularly, just when I need something done—nails, hair, etc.—and I usually time my visit around other errands. I just try to identify go-to salons in every area I frequent.

I already have a go-to salon for hair and nail services in BGC, since celebrity hair expert Lourd Ramos recently opened a Creations branch in Bonifacio Stopover (I blogged about it here). So I’m glad that when I’m in Makati, be it for shopping or when I do a staycation with my boyfriend in Fairmont or Raffles, I can now just cross Arnaiz Avenue (formerly Pasay Road) to get to the newest branch of Creations Salon by Lourd Ramos in Cedar Building.

According to Lourd, this is by far his biggest and poshest branch—or in his own words, “Pinakabonggang Creations,” haha. I like the stylish wall art that all seem straight out of a magazine or a fashion designer’s workbook. There are several private rooms with a bright and relaxing ambiance, each with its own unique mural, too.

The salon is spacious and well-lit, with a high ceiling, brick walls, and wooden accents—mirror frames, shelves, panels—that make this branch look and feel both cozy and sophisticated. You’ll step out of this fab salon looking fab yourself!

Services I tried

Lourd remembers I recently had my hair colored at Creations BGC, so this time he recommended a hair and scalp treatment for maintenance: Davines Vegetarian Miracle or simply VM treatment that hydrates hair. It has peppermint that refreshes the scalp—something I needed at the time because the heat and humidity, plus all the styling products that accumulated on my scalp, sometimes make it itchy and oily.

It was left on my crown for 10 minutes. It feels cool on the scalp! While I waited, the stylist’s assistant gave me a really good massage from head to back to complete my pampering.

Creations Cedar Creative Artist Ronnie Tumamak then gave my rinsed hair a wavy blowout. The result? Soft, refreshed locks that look fuller, healthier, and shinier. I definitely stepped out of Creations Cedar looking glamorous that day, giving me the extra oomph I needed for a day filled with events all over the metro. Sulit ang morning visit!

I also got my nails done while getting my scalp treatment. Every time I need to get both my nails and hair done in one go after shopping or before an event in Makati, I can just visit Creations Cedar.

Pricing

For a salon in Makati, Creations Cedar’s services are reasonably priced. My Vegetarian Miracle treatment costs P1,100 (for long hair like mine; P900 for short hair). Manicure and pedicure services are at P250 each. Haircut is just P350 for women, but if you want it done by their CD, that will set you back P950 (or P650 if it’s just a trim).

Besides haircut, hair treatments, and nail services, they also offer hair color and highlights, rebonding, perming, hair and makeup, waxing, other basic spa services, and wedding packages.
