When I was a teen a loooong time ago, I wanted to wear colored contact lenses. I thought they’d be so much cooler than my glasses (I have astigmatism) and I believed they’d soften my features.

So I convinced my mom to take me to an optical shop and try on colored contacts. After the effort to put them on, it only took a few seconds before my eyes started welling up and the tears just wouldn’t stop.
