I swear by two oral care products you can buy in the nearest Watsons to lighten coffee-stained teeth and maintain the effects of whitening procedures.

Coffee and wine drinker that I am, there came a point when I really had to undergo a teeth whitening procedure just to lighten my teeth stains. It worked, and it was truly a great investment, but to maintain its effect—since I’m unable to quit drinking coffee and wine—I had to change all my oral care products to whitening.

While the teeth whitening procedure had to be done by a dentist, of course, the maintenance products are readily available in my go-to store: Watsons. There’s a Watsons branch near where I work, and pretty much everywhere I go, so it’s convenient to just drop in whenever I’m running out of teeth whitening essentials.

I brush with Colgate Sensitive Pro-Relief Whitening because my gums are prone to bleeding and tend to be sensitive (nangingilo), and ever since I started using this toothpaste, these symptoms have lessened, while my teeth remained light (I notice this primarily in photos). And then I gargle with my recent Watsons discovery, Colgate Optic White Mouthwash. I didn’t know until I chanced upon it in the store that Colgate now has a whitening mouthwash. I must warn you that it has a distinct taste: only slightly minty, with a sour-spiced aftertaste. But, so far I think it works—see my latest toothy smile below (rightmost).
