The Zalora Pop-Up store is located at the 5th Floor of Shangri-La Plaza, Main Wing.

Ever since the Zalora Pop-Up Store, the very first digital pop-up store in the Philippines, opened in Shangri-La Plaza in June, it has become my habit to visit it every Sunday and check what new collections they have on display that I can try on before I buy online. You see, before that opened, I really wasn’t a fan of online shopping. But I am living proof that online fashion destination Zalora Philippines achieved its goal of bridging the gap between physical shopping and online shopping, and easing online shopping newbies and skeptics like me into it. I blogged about my experience here.

I was half sad, half relieved when it was first announced the pop-up store will only be open until September, because while shopping there without having to walk out with shopping bags and just having the items delivered to my home (ideal for Christmas shopping!) was convenient and a lot of fun—I get to try on clothes and feel the material before I decide to buy them on zalora.com.ph—it was putting a dent on my budget. But, well, lo and behold, I was invited to a blogger shopping party there last Wednesday, September 30, not only to announce that it has extended its run until December 2015, but also because of its exciting partnership with DIVA’s How Do I Look? Asia.

I don’t really watch TV (sorry), but I know of the original US version of the show that my cousins love to watch. It was only at the event that I learned that the Asian re-imagination of the hit fashion makeover series already premiered on August 31 and airs every Monday at 8PM on DIVA, NBCUniversal International Networks’ entertainment channel for women in Asia. It follows Malaysian celebrity and style icon Sazzy Falak as she guides eight fashion victims to the path of fashion enlightenment. Jeannie Mai, host of the original U.S. version and a familiar face to Asian viewers, appears in each episode, setting up the fashion challenges each week.

Among How Do I Look? Asia’s fashion-challenged victims are rebel teacher Lianni from the Philippines (Oct. 12); plain Jane, a sales executive from Australia who cut her wedding dress budget (Oct. 5); recently promoted single mom Lavinya of Malaysia, who wants to upgrade her work wardrobe (Oct 19); romantically-insecure Maisarah of Singapore; and the unimaginatively-dressed motivational speaker Yessinta of Indonesia.

A guest stylist joins Sazzy in each episode, among them are Liz Uy, Filipina celebrity stylist; Zac Wu, Taiwanese celebrity stylist; Andrea Wong, former editor of Elle Malaysia; and Anindita Saryuf, fashion director of Elle Indonesia.

At the How Do I Look? Asia blogger shopping party at the Zalora Pop-Up Store, we got to check out Zalora’s latest collection and shop some of the pieces, keeping in mind whether or not our outfits will get the nod of Sazzy. Here are my picks (although I only brought home two of the skirts, and the top and wedges are from one of my earlier Sunday visits, haha); click the first thumbnail to enlarge the image and launch the rest of the slideshow:
