I hoard bath products and I love treating myself to a DIY body scrub at home, especially since I don’t have the time or budget to hit the spa as often as I’d like. For bath products, I’m also particularly refreshed when they have a sweet, fruity scent. I like the idea that I smell delicious, haha.

So when beauty blogger Sabs Hernandez sent me some of the products from her new skincare line Nekkid Beauty, I was excited to try all of them! Sabs has been a professional makeup artist for 10 years and a beauty blogger for five years, so I know she’d be particular about the ingredients of her own line of beauty products.

The reason behind the name? Sabs says it’s her mission to make everyone look good naked (get it?). Having the perfect body is not enough, so she says her brand aims to give you perfect, glowing skin with skin care made from natural ingredients—back when ingredients lists were readable and understandable. Most of their products’ scents come from essential oils or natural fragrance oils from real fruits and flowers that also have various benefits on your skin and overall wellbeing. Think aromatherapy. These essential oils act as natural preservatives as well.

This weekend, treat yourself to an hour of DIY pampering and turn your own bath into a spa session. Here are the steps and Nekkid Beauty essentials you need.

Step 1: Wash your body with the Raspberry Shower Gel, P220

This rich, sweetly fragrant shower gel is made of natural ingredients and enriched with fruit and plant extracts. It lathers easily, rinses well, and gently cleanses and moisturizes skin, making it soft and smooth. Apply it using bare hands or a bath mesh ball, to make it foam even more. You will enjoy a captivating and refreshing bath experience for sure.

Step 2: Exfoliate your body with the Pomegranate & Mango Body Scrub, P350

After cleansing, exfoliate wet skin with this creamy pink body scrub. It has a luxurious feel when rubbed all over your body, and I believe it’s key to your DIY spa session. No need for oil, it’s gentle and doesn’t chafe skin. The fine scrub effectively sloughs off dead skin cells for smoother skin I can’t stop stroking, yet it rinses easily and doesn’t clog the drain. What I love most about it is its super sweet and delicious smell I can’t get enough of, that I pair with the body butter of the same scent.

Its natural ingredients deliver a lot of skin benefits! Pomegranate has anti-aging properties, with its Vitamin C content playing a key role in the formation of collagen, making skin healthier and stronger. It’s also a great moisturizer! Mango extracts, meanwhile, have antioxidant properties and help protect, hydrate, and refine skin tone. Besides this, it also contains coconut oil, wheat germ oil, shea and mango butter, almond oil, apricot seeds, and Vitamin E.

3. Moisturize post-shower with the Pomegranate & Mango Body Butter, P300

This ultra-moisturizing body butter smells incredible! I layer this sweet scent I’ve grown to love with the creamy body scrub for even longer lasting moisture and softness—without the grease. I can’t stop smelling the pot. On skin, the scent doesn’t last too long, but you know it’s made of natural ingredients with no artificial perfumes added. What matters is it improves skin condition and the effect lasts long.

You can enjoy the same skin benefits you get from the ingredients of its counterpart Body Butter. Besides pomegranate and mango extracts, there’s also shea butter, which has Vitamins A and E. Vitamin A helps repair skin cell damage, while Vitamin E is an antioxidant that keeps skin safe from harmful free radicals.

Meanwhile, mango butter has natural emollient qualities that help keep the skin moisturized and promote cell regeneration. It also contains high levels of antioxidants and beneficial Vitamins A, C, and E. This natural butter also helps shield against harmful UV rays, protecting skin from potential sun damage. Talk about a wonder ingredient!

It also has sweet almond oil that moisturizes, nourishes, and softens dry skin. It’s popular as a body oil because of its easy spreadibility and pleasant smell.

4. Spritz on the Pure fragrance, P350, 30mL

My favorite Nekkid product and now one of my favorite scents, this lovely floral fragrance makes me smell fresh and clean, like a baby na bagong ligo! It’s subtle but it lasts long—even through a hot yoga class, imagine! I can’t stop getting a whiff of myself when I’m wearing this.

Top notes are orange, galbanum, and lemon; heart notes are honeysuckle, jasmine, and lily-of-the-valley; and base notes are amber, musk, oakmoss, and Brazilian rosewood. The citrus is more intensive than the other notes, but it is not a very sharp citrus. Several of Sabs’ clients noted that the smell reminds them of Clean Provence, and I’m inclined to agree.

5. Apply the Nourishing Lip Balm, P200

To me, it’s like a lip primer: It smoothens lips without being greasy, sticky, or oily—there’s no shine at all. It can be worn under or over your lip color, and is easy to apply with a finger pad or a lip brush. It has a very light scent and no taste. It contains shea butter, beeswax, sweet almond oil, Vitamin E, and vegetable glycerin.
